The family of lamps produced by the Biassono firm is selected by the panel of experts for the renowned international award.
Commercial success, and now a prize for design quality too. The range of Ring lamps by Panzeri has received a special mention from the 2017 edition of the prestigious German Design Award, an international recognition granted by the panel of sector experts at the German Design Council.
The Golden Ring pendant lamps, followed by Silver Ring and Planet Ring, which were introduced this year (also available in wall or ceiling-mounted versions) are one of Panzeri’s key products, appreciated in Italy and around the world for their elegance and flexibility of application (retail, residential, offices, public spaces etc).
The German Design Award is an initiative created in 1953 by the Bundestag – the lower chamber of the German parliament – to provide support for all contributors to the creation and addition of value through design.
Today, the German Design Council is one of the world’s main benchmarks for communication and brand management in the field of design. Alongside designers and design associations, the exclusive network of founding members includes entrepreneurs and brand managers from numerous renowned companies.
The special mention for “Design Quality” is not a novelty for Panzeri. In fact, just last year the Biassono firm received a mention for the Jackie table- and floor-standing lamp (the first of four mentions overall). And now the Rings too take their due place in this elite of international designer products.
The German Design Award 2017 prize-giving ceremony will take place in Frankfurt on 10th February next year. Several months beforehand, Panzeri has another important date lined up in Germany: the opening on 28th October of its first overseas branch, in Karlsplatz, right in the heart of Munich.
