S.M.A.R.T. HOME project is an effort, started by Paolo Berro, intended to realize an house which takes advantage of renewable energies and a centralized domotic vocal system designed for whoever needs an extreme ease of accessibility combined with eco-friendly and sustainable features.
Paolo’s history is built on fortitude and determination. Following an incident, which paralyzed him from his shoulders down, Paolo now is forced to communicate with a voice recognition program. This is the key reason behind S.M.A.R.T. HOME project, built up with the support by the architect Aldo Cibic. S.M.A.R.T. HOME is an house built in accordance with the principles of energetic sustainability, high mobility for everyone, accessibility, economic savings and new technologies.
Certainly an ambitious project to which Panzeri is proud to contribute with the supply of Carmen, the perfect lamp to light the rooms of the tech-house up, thanks to the charming indirect light granted by the LEDs put behind its revolving arms.
A simple structure and rigorous colors – black or white. This is what characterizes a lamp able to produce a soft and cozy light which joins with a minimal design and a contemporary winsome style.
The structure of Carmen is made with iron sheet, carefully trimmed with the laser technology and subsequently welded with silver wire, as in the ancient artisan heritage. A bearing system guarantees fluidity and precision to the arm revolving mechanism. The light source is a LED rod which releases more than 5,000 lumen, using less than 50W and heating at an average of only 45°C (113°F). This allows to light rooms up to 25m2 (269ft2) with a lifetime of over 50,000 hours.
Thanks to its technical characteristics and its basic design, Carmen embodies Panzeri’s philosophy and goes at the same pace of those principles that inspire the S.M.A.R.T. HOME project.
