AlDecimo by Panzeri wins the 2017 Light Middle East Award

The wall lamp won the Decorative Wall Lighting product of the year’ award in Dubai.

On 19 October, in Dubai, the ALDECIMO lamp by Panzeri won the Light Middle East Award. The wall lamp designed by Architect Carmen Ferrara received the ‘Decorative Wall Lighting product of the year’ award assigned by the jury of the most important trade fair in the lighting sector of the Middle East, organized by German Messefrankfurt (Light + Building).

al-decimo-lme-img-magazine-3ALDECIMO entered the final shortlist together with other four products from international brands and was declared the winner during a ceremony held at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Dubai. The Light Middle East event, inaugurated in 2015, awards prizes to products (in six categories) and projects (in nine categories).

ALDECIMO is a metal wall lamp that disappears into the wall. Presented for the first time at Euroluce last April, its characteristic is the pressure mechanism that makes it disappear. It allows to play and draw with light, changing the shape of the lighting element depending on the mood or the different architectural context of the room. The light changes based on the position of the lamp: when switched on, its outline lights up; once opened its light floods the room.

After the table lamp Jackie (2015, special mention at the German Design Award, Good Design, IF Design Award, ADI Premios Delta) and Rings, the collection of suspension lamps (2016, special mention at the German Design Award), Panzeri’s products receive yet another international award in 2017.
