Kanji Light Fusion Restaurant

Kanji Light Fusion Restaurant

In the very central Brera zone of Milan, precisely in Via San Marco 27, there is the KANJI LIGHT fusion restaurant. Sub-divided over two floors, this new restaurant summarises and amplifies the message of the owner of KANJI, Jie Lin, Art Director of the project, where architecture, design and innovative shapes merge with the flavour of traditional Japanese dishes.

Having already worked in KANJI EVO, the architect and interior designer Giuseppe Dondoni arranged the layout of the spaces and interpreted the idea of the project through contrasting content to make it different, unique and fascinating. The result of the collaboration between Dondoni and Jie Lin is an entertainment and restaurant environment with alternating gigantic, scenographic forms, where those having a working lunch or a meal with friends find gratification.

The project began at the entrance where two windows overlook the street; from here the scene is set on the ceiling composed of two curved, vertical blades in steel, accompanying the visitor’s glance into the depths of the premises up to the stairwell where everything comes together.

This area of the elegant premises includes Candle ceiling lights, an ideal decorative element for surroundings that combine sensory experience and conviviality.
